First Steps Early Education is a private and family operated business, first opening its doors in 2008 at its Cahill Street location. Both centres operate for 50 weeks of the year, closing for only 2 weeks over the Christmas and New Year period, and offer a suite of quality inclusions so that busy families have the peace of mind that their child’s early education and daily care needs are taken care of.
At First Steps Early Education we pride ourselves on providing a welcoming, safe, supportive and homely learning environment for all children and their families. We work within the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS) along with our own School Readiness program, to ensure that children receive the highest quality care and early education by providing them with the tools, experiences and learning opportunities required for the best possible start to their school life and beyond.
Our educators work toward developing a strong understanding of each child’s cultural backgrounds, home-life and learning needs using this knowledge, resources and the support of external professionals to adapt their methods of teaching to each individual child. The centre’s team of educators are experienced, professional, dedicated and passionate about their role, these include; Bachelor-qualified teachers, Diploma and Certificate III trained staff who as a team advocate care, nurturing and education of children within their care and the wider community.
